The **Year of the Horse** brings speed, freedom, and prosperity to Rune-Midgard! This event combines community contributions, world boss hunting, PvM activities, PvP quests, and a holiday quest shop into one massive celebration.

## Phase 1: Community Contribution
**Period:** February 1 - March 8, 2026
Everyone on the server works together to reach a shared goal of **4,000,000 points**! You earn points by giving items to the Nian NPC.
**How to contribute:**
1. Collect the items listed below (from monsters, other players, or the market).
2. Talk to the **Nian** NPC in Prontera — use `@warp prontera 144 177`.
3. Choose which item to contribute and how many.
4. Your points are added to the community total and your personal total.

## Phase 2: Claim Period
**Period:** February 25 - March 13, 2026
After the community goal is reached, you can pick up your rewards! Go back to the **Nian** NPC in Prontera and choose "Claim Rewards". You cannot contribute items during this phase.

## World Boss Milestones
Talk to the **Lunar Festival Coordinator** in **Prontera (141, 176)** to track your World Boss hunting progress.

### How It Works
1. **Kill any World Boss** during the event period. Use `@wb` or talk to the **World Boss Rift** NPC at Prontera (152, 176) to join.
2. Every World Boss you kill counts toward your personal kill total.
3. When you reach a kill milestone (5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 kills), talk to the **Lunar Festival Coordinator** to claim your reward.
4. You get **bonus contribution points** added to the community total for each milestone!

## PvM Activities
### Nian Beast
The legendary **Nian Beast** invades **prt\_fild08** every hour! **3 Nian Beasts** spawn at the same time in random spots on the map.
**How to find it:**
1. Wait for the server-wide announcement: *"Nian Beasts have invaded prt\_fild08!"*
2. Type `@warp prt_fild08` to go to the map.
3. Search around the map to find and kill the beasts. They spawn in random locations each time.

### Fortune Cat
A mystical **Fortune Cat** appears every hour in a random town! It looks like a small green cat. When someone catches (kills) it, the cat teleports to a new spot in the same town. After being caught 3 times, it escapes.
**How to find it:**
1. Wait for the server-wide announcement: *"A Fortune Cat has appeared in \[town name]!"*
2. Warp to the announced town (e.g. `@warp prontera`).
3. Search around the town to find the cat. You have 5 minutes before it disappears!
4. After someone catches it, it teleports — look for the announcement about its new location.

### Monster Red Envelope Drops
 Monsters on certain maps have a chance to drop **Red Envelopes** when killed. Just go to any of the maps below and farm monsters normally — Red Envelopes will drop automatically!

## PvP Activities
### Daily PvP Quest
Every day you can earn a bonus reward just by fighting in PvP. You do **not** need to win — dying in PvP counts too!
**How to complete it:**
1. Go to any PvP map (use `@go pvp` or find a PvP warp NPC).
2. Fight other players — get 3 kills **or** 3 deaths (any mix works).
3. After 3 PvP interactions, talk to the **Lunar Festival Coordinator** in Prontera to collect your reward.
4. You can do this once per day. It resets at midnight.

## Holiday Quest Shop
The **Holiday Event Quest** NPC at **Prontera (143, 179)** offers special Valentine-themed consumable buff items! Use `@warp prontera 143 179` to find the NPC.
Talk to the NPC, choose the item you want, and if you have all the required ingredients it will give you **10** of the reward item.

## Red Envelope Bonus Mail
On the 14th minute of every hour while the event is active, there is a **25% chance** that all online players will receive a  **Red Envelope** via RoDEX mail from the Nian.

## Tips

* **PvP quests** count deaths too, so just participate in PvP for easy daily rewards.
