# Soda Craft Quest

**Soda Master Fizzy** — Amatsu (182, 124)

Summer's brutal — and Fizzy has a plan. He's experimenting with three carbonated recipes and needs help testing them. Bring him the materials, hope the bubbles cooperate, and trade your finished batch for an **Event Grab Bag**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Seasonal event** — the Soda Master is only around during the summer. If he tells you "the summer heat hasn't arrived yet" or "summer's over," check back during the active window.
{% endhint %}

| **Location**        | Amatsu (182, 124)                                             |
| **Cost** | Ingredients only — see recipes below |
| **Failure penalty** | Loses **all ingredients** on a failed brew. Plan accordingly. |

{% hint style="info" %}
Pro tip: stockpile a multi-batch worth of ingredients before you start brewing. Recipes are now near-guaranteed (93–99% success), but a single failed roll still eats the full ingredient stack — bring at least one backup set.

## 🍹 The Recipes

Each soda has its own recipe and its own **success rate**. Fail the roll and **all ingredients are consumed for nothing** — the harder the recipe, the bigger the risk.

### ![](/files/1V67JV8SZRpNZvs136MP) Coca Cola (31578) — 99% success

| Material                                              | Qty |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | --: |
| ![](/files/2oQRv2y8qWgkv8LTmqgY) Sweet Potato (516)   | 100 |
| ![](/files/HHq54kIqfBMjGgIEsaSr) Ice Cube (7066)      |  50 |
| ![](/files/kaG2vRBLXh5Q8GmrgWLc) Honey (518)          |  30 |
| ![](/files/JSjLV36cD8eiBvOWF3oW) Empty Bottle (713)   |   1 |
| ![](/files/ImtbZvCbuea1NNH7ngnU) Rookie Badge (20294) |  50 |

The easiest recipe in the lineup — practically a guaranteed brew. Use it to chip away at the 10x quota while you stockpile rarer ingredients for the other two.

### ![](/files/MpR6p4aP1xGRGCqzvlZG) Fanta Orange (31579) — 95% success

| Material                                              | Qty |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | --: |
| ![](/files/HnHxh9eHhc4TuakzrIbo) Orange (582)         | 150 |
| ![](/files/HHq54kIqfBMjGgIEsaSr) Ice Cube (7066)      |  50 |
| ![](/files/lIlzAbfPAw9nSkrgyGMo) Lemon (31589)        | 200 |
| ![](/files/JSjLV36cD8eiBvOWF3oW) Empty Bottle (713)   |   1 |
| ![](/files/ImtbZvCbuea1NNH7ngnU) Rookie Badge (20294) |  30 |

Middle of the road — citrus balance is tricky but almost always lands.

### ![](/files/O9G69kTsqyNOHn3JV6PM) Fanta Grape (31580) — 93% success

| Material                                              | Qty |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | --: |
| ![](/files/96qt3DM4iTVvkTa5zkQy) Grape (514)          | 200 |
| ![](/files/HHq54kIqfBMjGgIEsaSr) Ice Cube (7066)      |  50 |
| ![](/files/lIlzAbfPAw9nSkrgyGMo) Lemon (31589)        | 200 |
| ![](/files/JSjLV36cD8eiBvOWF3oW) Empty Bottle (713)   |   1 |
| ![](/files/ImtbZvCbuea1NNH7ngnU) Rookie Badge (20294) |  30 |

The toughest brew, but still a comfortable **93%** — one in fifteen attempts will eat your stack, so don't go in with the bare minimum.

## 🎁 The Big Trade — Event Grab Bag

Once you've banked **10 of each soda**, Fizzy will trade the lot for an **Event Grab Bag**:

| Reward                                                     | Costs                                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| ---------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| ![](/files/6l9gAIOnVC9huI05pCZv) Event Grab Bag (20203) x1 | <p><img src="/files/1V67JV8SZRpNZvs136MP" alt=""> Coca Cola (31578) x10<br><img src="/files/MpR6p4aP1xGRGCqzvlZG" alt=""> Fanta Orange (31579) x10<br><img src="/files/O9G69kTsqyNOHn3JV6PM" alt=""> Fanta Grape (31580) x10</p> |

The Grab Bag reactivates the **Event Card Quest** flow for the mid-year, so this is the gateway item for that whole chain.

## 🧺 Where the Ingredients Come From

Quick reference for sourcing each ingredient. **Use `@whodrops <item id>` in-game** to look up exact drop sources and rates for any of the items below.

### Basic ingredients

* ![](/files/2oQRv2y8qWgkv8LTmqgY) **Sweet Potato** (516) — farm fields, Prontera area
* ![](/files/HnHxh9eHhc4TuakzrIbo) **Orange** (582) — Payon Forest, fruit trees
* ![](/files/96qt3DM4iTVvkTa5zkQy) **Grapes** (514) — Aldebaran vineyards / Al De Baran
* ![](/files/lIlzAbfPAw9nSkrgyGMo) **Lemon** (31589) — Use the command @whodrops \<item id> to find which mobs drop them.

### Rare ingredients

* ![](/files/HHq54kIqfBMjGgIEsaSr) **Ice Cube** (7066) — frozen areas, some monsters drop them
* ![](/files/kaG2vRBLXh5Q8GmrgWLc) **Honey** (518) — bees and some forest monsters
* ![](/files/JSjLV36cD8eiBvOWF3oW) **Empty Bottle** (713) — **not sold at `@mall`** (the Alchemy Items shop stocks Empty Test Tube / Cylinder, not Empty Bottle). Farm it from mobs — use `@whodrops 713` in-game to see drop sources.

### Currency

* ![](/files/ImtbZvCbuea1NNH7ngnU) **Rookie Badge** (20294) — common rewards from [**Battlegrounds**](/content/pvp-content/battlegrounds.md), the [**MVP Ladder**](/content/pvm-content/mvp.md), [**Hunting Missions**](/content/pvm-content/hunting-missions.md), and GM Events.

## 💡 Tips

* **Brew in bulk.** One Grab Bag needs 30 successful sodas total (10 × 3 flavors). With success rates of 93–99%, \~32 attempts is enough to land a full set on average — bring a couple of extras to cover the rare unlucky roll.
* **Lead with Coca Cola.** Nearly a guaranteed brew at 99% — use it to warm up before committing the bigger Orange/Grape stacks.
* **The Empty Bottle is per-attempt.** Every brew consumes 1 regardless of outcome — budget \~35 Empty Bottles.
* **Rookie Badges are much cheaper now.** Coca Cola needs 50, Orange and Grape need 30 each — a full 30-soda set runs roughly **1,400 Badges**.
* **Lemon is the hidden grinder.** Both Orange and Grape recipes want 200 Lemons each. Use the command @whodrops \<item id> to find which mobs drop them.
