Patch Notes for June 2026

Sports Betting — FIFA Matches

  • Betting now supports real-world FIFA futbol/soccer matches! Place Uber Coins on the team you think will win at the ZenyBets NPC in Prontera (167, 177).

  • Closes at kick-off — each FIFA match locks the moment the real game starts, so get your bets in early. Open matches show a live countdown next to the matchup.

  • Discord announcements — open matches are posted hourly in our Discord betting channel (and in-game), so you never miss kick-off.

  • Claiming winnings — if your team wins you keep your full stake plus a share of the losing pool; collect it from ZenyBets → Claim Rewards.

  • House edge — the server's cut was adjusted to 50% of the losing pool (winners always get their own stake back). Full breakdown and payout examples on the Betting page.

🎉 6th Anniversary Event

Wandering Gem Merchant — random-spawn Zeny hunt

  • A hidden Wandering Gem Merchant roams random towns (Prontera, Geffen, Payon, Alberta, Aldebaran, Izlude, Morroc, Comodo) during the anniversary window.

  • He sells Anniversary Gems for a random Zeny price that is re-rolled every time he appears (roughly 100M–150M each), up to 10 gems per visit.

  • Spawns announce possible locations with decoy towns — players have to find him. The first finder is announced server-wide, and he relocates a short time after being found.

  • Auto-spawns on a schedule — players can check status with @anniv6-info.

Anniversary Reward Shop — moc_para01 (27, 31)

Spend your Anniversary Gems (plus event mats) on new costume auras (Shadow accessories that trigger custom hat-effects) — full costs on the Anniversary Reward Shop page:

Anniversary Prize Vendor — moc_para01 (29, 31)

  • [C] XileRetro Oblivion Helm (32468) — a unique costume sold once per character for 5 Anniversary Gem + 600 Rookie Badge + 1 Mithril Coin. Purchases are announced server-wide and tracked so each character can only ever claim one.

New — Healer Buff Pass (32473)

  • A new pass item: while you're holding a Healer Buff Pass, the town and WoE healers grant an extended premium buff set lasting 10 minutes (vs the standard 1–3 min): Blessing, Increase AGI, full Chemical Protection (Weapon/Armor/Shield/Helm), True Sight and Wind Walk.

  • How to get it: grab the Divine Buff Ticket (30D) (32474) from the Uber Shop (under the Budget Shop category) for 1 Uber Coin. The ticket contains a 30-day, account-bound Healer Buff Pass rental.

Skill Balance Adjustments

Gunslinger

  • Rapid Shower (GS_RAPIDSHOWER): PvP and GvG distance fall-off added — damage now drops with target range, in line with other ranged AoE skills.

  • Desperado (GS_DESPERADO): PvP and GvG distance fall-off added — close range is unchanged, but spraying from the edge of your screen now hurts less.

Champion

  • Occult Impaction (MO_INVESTIGATE): PvP / GvG / BG damage cap increased from 70,000 → 80,000. Spirit Sphere cost restored to 1 per cast (down from the previous 2).

Endless Cellar — Boss Rebalance

  • Satan Morocc (Floor 72) has been brought back in line with pre-renewal stats.

    • Players were reporting 2-hour grinds for 90% of the HP bar — Morocc had been carrying renewal-era stats that didn't fit pre-renewal mechanics. His stat block has been tuned so he's still the toughest boss in the cellar without being a wall.

    • He is now killable in a reasonable session while remaining one of the cellar's hardest fights.

New Server Event — Thunderstorm Showdown

  • Thunderstorm Showdown — a Wizard-only PvP battle royale event. All skills are locked except Thunder Storm. One hit ends a life. Auto-runs on a schedule.

    • Sign up at the Thunderstorm Herald in Prontera (147, 191).

    • 10 different arena maps in rotation, each with its own movement speed (30 fastest, 100 slowest).

    • AFK Detection — players parked in the same area for 2 minutes are auto-disqualified and warped out.

    • No-winner-tie rule — if the timer runs out with multiple Wizards still alive, no winner is crowned — camping doesn't pay.

    • Speed-suicide protection — players who die in the first 60 seconds don't get the survival reward.

    • Center-top countdown timer so everyone sees the match clock in real time.

    • Walkable-cell spawn check so nobody gets dropped into impassable terrain.

    • Daily win cap + signup cooldown to prevent abuse.

    • Rewards: Gold Tide Coin for the winner, Bronze Tide Coin for survivors. Spend them at the T-Coin Trader (@bgshop → Louyang) for Silver Tide Coin, Skull Coin, or the TS Showdown Costume Box.

New NPC — Costume Recycler

  • Costume Recycler at the Eden Group HQ area (moc_para01 45, 185).

  • Trade in old [C] costumes for Costume Points (account-bound).

  • Spend points at the Direct Shop (pick exactly what you want, dozens of costumes across 8 price tiers from 5,500 to 50,000 points) or the Lucky Box (20,000 points per pull, weighted random pull from a curated rare pool).

  • Costumes are graded automatically based on how rare they are — drops are worth less, exclusives are worth more.

New NPC — Refine Hammer Trader

  • Refine Jonny at Prontera Inn (prt_in 89, 72).

  • Exchanges Tide Coins, Rookie Badges, Lux Keys, and MVP Souls for a Portable Furnace and a 100% Refine Hammer (+5~6).

  • The chain takes two trips: craft the Furnace first, then use it as an ingredient for the Hammer.

New NPC — Tide Coin Exchanger

  • T-Coin Trader at Louyang (louyang 100, 204) — reachable via @bgshop.

  • Converts Bronze/Gold Tide Coins from Thunderstorm Showdown into Silver Tide Coin, Skull Coin, or the showcase TS Showdown Costume Box.

Hunting Quests Update

  • Hunting Missions — mob pool expanded across all four difficulties (Easy / Normal / Hard / Crazy).

  • Prize updates:

    • New: Random Seal Box added at 670 Hunting Points.

MVP Ladder Update

  • The Monthly MVP Ladder Top 1: Costume Box (item 20397) has had a new costume added to its pool. The exact contents stay a surprise — but the prize for ending the month as the #1 MVP grinder just got a little juicier.

Returning Quests

  • Soda Craft Quest is back online for the mid-year — brew Coca Cola, Fanta Orange, and Fanta Grape at the Soda Master in Amatsu, then trade a full set for an Event Grab Bag to kick off the mid-year Event Card Quest flow.

Items

  • New costumes added to the Kiki Shop, Peddling Peters / Uber Shop, and other monthly rotations.

Skill Balance Adjustments

Assassin Cross

  • Soul Breaker (ASC_BREAKER): PvP damage reduced 50% from last month, cooldown increased

  • Meteor Assault (ASC_METEORASSAULT): PvP and PvM damage reduced 50% from last month, cooldown increased

Bug Fixes

  • Magic Crasher (HW_MAGICCRASHER): Fixed exploit where Magic Crasher bypassed SC_MAGICPOWER (Mystical Amplification) buff consumption. Because Magic Crasher is typed as a weapon skill but uses MATK, the buff was never being toggled off — letting Wizards keep the MATK multiplier active indefinitely and consistently hit the 70,000 PvP/BG damage cap on every cast. Magic Crasher now correctly consumes the buff after one use.

  • Vending OK button: Fixed the long-standing issue where a merchant had to click the OK button 2–3 times to open their shop, especially when selling many items or with bound/broken items in the cart.

  • Punching Bag: Fixed unreliable respawn — bags now respawn instantly on death with a backup 5-second integrity check.

  • Willow training spawns: Respawn delay reduced from 5 seconds to instant.

Returning Quests

  • Enhanced Monkey Fist Card Quest — The classic Moco the Choco exchange at gon_fild01 170, 290 is back online with refreshed requirements. See the linked guide for full details.

Map Updates — Abyss 03

  • Skills are back on Abyss 03 — the noskill mapflag has been removed. You can now cast freely while farming Abyss 03.

  • Anti-multi-account entry filter added to Abyss 03. The map now blocks a player from entering if any of the following are true:

    • They are connecting from an Android client

    • Another player already on Abyss 03 is using the same client install (Gepard unique ID match)

    • Another player already on Abyss 03 is on the same network / IP

    • Offenders are warped back to Prontera with a self-only message explaining why. The first player in is fine — only the second connection from the same client/IP is rejected.

Seasonal Events

  • Hanami 2026 (April Cherry Blossom Event) — A hidden Sakura Keeper wanders flora-themed maps once per hour, offering rare costume rewards in exchange for flower materials.

    • Wanderer-style spawn: she rumors which area she's visiting (with optional decoy maps), lingers for a limited number of exchanges, then vanishes until the next hour

    • Players can use @hanami-where to hear the rumored map (no coordinates given)

    • Reward pool now uses a flexible registration system mixing repeatable and one-time rewards with fully independent material requirements per reward

    • Event period extended through end of year

    • Requirements raised: Base Lv 255 / Job Lv 120

New Server Event

  • Poring Race — A revived classic chaos event where players are turned into a Novice (random hair/dye, mounted) and must run a 3-course gauntlet across race_event1, race_event2, and race_event3.

    How it runs:

    • GM starts the event with @racestart and can choose Normal Mode (status effects only) or Hard Mode (status effects plus fake barricades that block the path). @racestop cancels.

    • The Race Manager broadcasts a 5-minute server-wide announcement window with repeated reminders that anyone can join using @racejoin. Entry closes automatically after the countdown.

    • Once running, no warps, no teleports, no return, no item consumption — once you're in, you're committed.

    The dynamic:

    • Each course is filled with NPC traps that hit you with status effects on contact — confusion, blind, slow, the works. The Race Manager's own warning banner says it best: "This game may cause hypertension and nausea..." It is genuinely disorienting and not for the weak — between the screen-spin effects and the tight pathing, expect a few race quits.

    • Hard Mode adds illusion barricades that look identical to the floor — there is no way to know which path is real until you walk into one.

    • To advance, you must walk up to and touch the checkpoint NPC at the end of each course (within 3 cells):

      • Course 1 → Tribe Old Man (race_event1, 129/78) — clears your debuffs and warps you forward

      • Course 2 → Tribe Master (race_event2, 176/11) — trivia gate. He randomly picks one of nine multiple-choice questions (rainbow colors, Times Square city, Game of Thrones, Oscars, planets, basketball, etc.). Wrong answer = closed dialog and you have to try again. Right answer warps you to the final course.

      • Course 3 → Tribe Kid (race_event3, 193/142) — finish line. Resets your appearance, hands over the prize, and warps you to your save point.

    Prizes — paid out per checkpoint reached (item: Gashapon Premium Coin):

    • Course 1 cleared: 2× Gashapon Premium Coin

    • Course 2 cleared: 3× Gashapon Premium Coin

    • Course 3 cleared: 5× Gashapon Premium Coin (full clear = 10 total)

    • GM can decide if a bonus grand prize will be given to the top finishers on top of the per-course payouts.

    Ranking — the Poring Race Ranking NPC displays the daily ladder.

War of Emperium

  • Discord WoE Announcements restored and rewritten — formatted, multi-line Discord messages for WoE start, end, and final summary. Participation tracking shows which guilds joined and how many members took part.

  • Guild of the Month (GOTM) logging added via RagnaSync:

    • Castle capture events posted to Discord with guild name, taker name, castle, and edition (FE/SE/TE)

    • Player kill events during WoE logged with killer/victim/castle context

    • Attendance snapshots taken every 60 seconds during WoE

Technical Improvements

  • RagnaSync updated to source revision 30042026. This release implements Guild of the Month (GOTM) — a new competitive WoE tracking system that records castle captures, player kills, and live attendance throughout each WoE session and posts them to Discord in real time. Foundation for the upcoming monthly guild leaderboard.

  • New RagnaSync hooks: list-value escaping for safe delimited messaging, population timer stop hook for cleaner shutdown, and dedicated GOTM Discord channel routing.

  • Yuno Treasure Chest now posts to Discord — the half-hourly Treasure Chest event now announces both the spawn and the finder's name on Discord (in addition to the existing in-game #events channel chat), so players watching Discord get a heads-up the moment a chest appears in Yuno.

  • Kill announcements now show progress counter (e.g., "2/3 slain")

  • Fixed total kills display (was always showing 0)

  • Added World Boss Kill Leaderboard NPC showing top 20 hunters

  • Top contributors display expanded from top 10 to top 100

Endless Cellar & ChallengeMode Revamp

  • Fixed floors appearing stuck with remaining mobs that didn't exist

  • This system is temporarily disabled due to issues and is being fixed. Castle loot continues to work as normal — talk to the NPC in each respective castle to claim your treasures. Further notices will be provided once it is working.

  • Guild Max Castles increased from 5 to 7 — When a guild owns castles equal to the cap, all hits on the Emperium will miss, preventing them from claiming additional castles. The cap has been adjusted from 5 to 7 to match the current schedule of 5 WoE + 1 official KoE per week.

Seasonal Events

  • Lunar New Year 2026 - Year of the Horse community contribution event with World Boss milestones, PvM activities, and PvP daily quests (Feb 1 - Mar 13)

  • Valentine's Day 2026 - Cupid Scarf costumes in 7 colors and sweet Valentine consumables

  • Seasonal Quest Staff updated with February Cupid Scarf collection

New GM Event Reward Packages

Three new Event Reward Packages have been added:

  • Package 6: 5x Gashapon Premium Coin - Currency for the Premium Gashapon

  • Package 7: 1x Godly Lootbox - Contains Uber Coins, Seals, and more (Daily limit: 5)

  • Package 8: 1x Elite Lootbox - Contains Seals and Rookie Badges (Daily limit: 6)

Bug Fixes

  • Removed renewal Warlock skills (Jack Frost, Hell Inferno) from custom dragons - these caused "Unknown skill" warnings in pre-renewal

  • Christmas seasonal quests disabled until next holiday season

  • Fixed script syntax errors in event logging system

  • Various database fixes

Technical Improvements

  • Moved main host from Germany to Singapore

  • Added Hyperdrive to accommodate Latin America and America's player

  • Optimized build workflows with ccache for faster rebuilds

  • Added concurrency control and timeout handling

    • Rank 1-2: 3x HP/SP

    • Rank 3-4: 2.5x HP/SP

    • Rank 5-6: 2x HP/SP

    • Rank 7+: 1x HP/SP

Card Adjustments

Kiel Card

  • Changed to 1 card = 25% after-cast delay reduction

  • Maximum 2 cards allowed (50% total)

  • No longer has diminishing returns

Quest & Economy Changes

  1. Christmas Special Costume Quest - Can now be redone yearly (resets each Christmas season)

  2. Event Grab Bag Quest - Now requires 4 Platinum Coins instead of 4 Mithril Coins

  3. Card Whisperer NPC - Requirements changed from 10 Mithril Coins + 5B zeny to 10 Gold Coins + 500M zeny

  4. Uber Exchange - Testing 1-day exchange window for the Wandering Trader unless it is spawned by a_lexis

New Features

  1. Wandering Trader Uber Coin Exchange

    • Dynamic NPC that spawns randomly across multiple maps

    • Price fluctuates between 1.5B-3B, with 1% chance of 4B jackpot

    • Announces possible locations - players must search to find the NPC
